NURSING AND HEALTH SCIENCE CLUSTER

VISION

The Cluster of Nursing and Health Science, as a center of excellence, produces local, national and international leaders in academic health sciences, research and practice. Building on our traditional missions of patient care, education and research; creating innovation in the delivery of health care; transforming our Cluster to be fully responsive in a changing environment; and working collaboratively as partners with our colleagues in profession and individuals, communities and organizations we serve, the Cluster of Nursing and Health Sciences will be nationally recognized as an institution of choice for individuals seeking careers as professional in health care.

MISSION

It is the mission of the Cluster of Nursing and Health Sciences to provide leadership in the education of health sciences professionals to assume role as primary health care providers, advanced practitioners, educators, scholars, and researchers who shape the delivery of health care practice and education through clinically relevant teaching, learning, and practice in diverse settings, community service, and research.

GOALS

  • 1. to provide the highest quality, learner-centered educational programs in selected health sciences to educate a health workforce that meets the demands of the local, national and global health care systems.
  • 2. to link educational, research, and service activities and programs in a learner-centered environment through partnerships with academic health centers and other health and education related organizations to improve the quality of life of the surrounding communities.
  • 3. to provide top quality education programs so that out graduates get the best career opportunities, and pass all required board licensing and certification exams.

OBJECTIVES

  • Establish knowledge, values and attitudes necessary to be successful practitioners;
  • Develop the clinical, interpersonal and psychomotor skills essential to health care practice;
  • Enhance problem solving and critical thinking skills as they apply to the analysis of information leading to patient care;
  • Instill commitment to conscientious care with a sense of compassion and sympathetic understanding;
  • Encourage cooperation with other health care disciplines in order to provide continuity and comprehensive patient care;
  • Impart responsibility and sensitivity to the socio-economic, psychosocial and cultural environment of those served;
  • Encourage students and faculty to pursue endeavors in health care education and research; and
  • Increase professional knowledge, skills and behavior necessary to respond to and influence current and future health care trends through innovative education and research initiative.

ENGINEERING, ARCHITECTURE, INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY CLUSTER

VISION

The Engineering, Architecture, Information and Communication Technology (EAICT) Cluster of the University of Pangasinan is envisioned to be a leader in the development of consummate professionals in Architecture, Engineering and Information Technology who shall propel the positive transformation of organizations, communities and global societies.

MISSION

The EAICT of the University of Pangasinan commits itself to provide for the sustenance, improvement and expansion of a learning environment that will ensure the growth and nurturance of professionals in information technology, engineering and architecture imbued with a deepened understanding and constructive, productive cross-context application of knowledge, skills, abilities, values and dispositions.

GOALS

The EAICT of the University of Pangasinan makes available to all learners:

  • 1. competent, high quality and highly motivated faculty
  • 2. effective and efficient administrative core
  • 3. productivity driven, community-connected curricular contents and processes
  • 4. broader and expanded access to opportunities to acquire the best career in the field of EAICT.

OBJECTIVES

IThe graduates of Engineering, Architecture, Information and Communication Technology (EAICT) must be:

  • 1. environmentally conscious and committed to environmental and ecological protection.
  • 2. knowledgeable of their professional responsibilities on ethics and laws.
  • 3. knowledgeable on human, financial, physical and resource management.
  • 4. total professional utilizing their knowledge of art, science, engineering, architecture and information communication systems technology concepts.
  • 5. prepared for graduate work and research in the area of their respective field of specialization.
  • 6. consistently updated in CADD/MAT LAB technology as an integral part of the existing curriculum

ACCOUNTANCY, COMMERCE, BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT CLUSTER

VISION

The Cluster of Accountancy, Commerce, Business and Management is Envisioned to be a leader in business education and a competent enabler of professional who shall propel relevant transformation of private and public organizations, communities and global societies in the area of accounting, commerce, business and management in support of national and individual aims of prosperity, security and social wellness.

MISSION

The Accountancy, Commerce, Business and Management Cluster’s mission is to be a TOTAL LEARNING PROVIDER with quality academic core, relevant learning systems and responsive education to continuously produce accounting, commerce and business management graduates, professionals and leader of proven competence and dedication to serve and excellence.

GOALS

The Cluster of Accountancy, Commerce, Business and Management commits to transform young professionals into competent practitioners of accounting, commerce, business and management functions through the delivery of relevant and responsive business education by a quality academic core through productivity-driven curricular process and expended resource systems.

OBJECTIVES

In line with the Vision and Mission statements, the Cluster pursues the following objectives:

  • 1. to design and offer business curricular programs that are responsive and relevant to current and continuing industry needs and global demand;
  • 2. to provide, strengthen and sustain individual and collective training and learning through dynamic curricular process and complementary technology infusion.
  • 3. to produce graduates equipped with rich experiential learning and deepened instruction in theory, practice, research and extension service with a deep sense of ethics and values;
  • 4. to develop and enable professionals who shall successfully hurdle board exams and/or professional understanding and effectively practice the core business functions and their line of specialization; and
  • 5. to maintain a quality academic core and sustain continuing professional advancement, scholarship and research.

COLLEGE OF EDUCATION

VISION

The University of Pangasinan College of Education is envisioned to be a center of Excellence in teacher education designed to produce teachers who will contribute to the transformation of people and communities.

MISSION

The University of Pangasinan College of Education is committed to provide the opportunities for the development of well-rounded and values-oriented teachers who will respond to the needs of the community.

GOALS

The College of Education of the University of Pangasinan primarily aims to develop competitive and community oriented professional teachers who will become molders of the youth, by providing them a holistic education designed to prepare them to teach either in the elementary or high school level.

OBJECTIVES

Specially, the College of Education purports to:

  • 1. equip students with the necessary knowledge, skills, abilities and values/dispositions which will enable them to teach effectively in their respective fields of specialization.
  • 2. provide co-curricular and extracurricular activities through which students can discover and hone their skills and talents and develop their self-confidence.
  • 3. develop in students independent analytical creative thinking and communication skills by providing for them a learning environment that promotes freedom of expression and resourcefulness.
  • 4. inculcate in the students the value of moral integrity as well as ethical and spiritual principles in their professional and personal lives.
  • 5. prepare students to assume other challenging teacher-allied roles such as those of the guidance counselor, librarian, student organization adviser, school paper adviser, community leader, etc.
  • 6. help students realize that teaching is more of a mission involving manifold challenging situations which require patience, understanding, resourcefulness, tolerance, and a high degree of self-control.
  • 7. generate in the students a genuine love for the teaching profession so that they may find fulfillment in teaching and get committed to their noble mission.
